    Default Mahjong Machine

With a 50,000 yen starting bid and pick up only. Posted more out of interest than anything else. Looks like the most modern of these I've seen and looks to be fully automated with payouts.

Funny I was just researching these; there is one newer Jankyu/ Mahjong ball than that one; looks like a few forum members tried unsuccessfully to purchase it. went for a lot of money!

Hum, many thanks for the info . I only work on one of the less technical machines that had the matrix of Filament lamps in the center scoring .

These are so cool.. I think I'd like one of the vintage ones!!

One thing I really liked about the one from 18 years ago was that it had a flipper instead of a shooter knob!!

I agree; that newer one with the flipper is pretty cool! I want one even having no idea how to play it…

I found a YouTube video discussing that particular Jankyu and how Jankyu machines are related to arrange balls that’s kinda neat!

Can you please see if your research turned up any info I don't have on the list yet?

I am interested in purchasing a sparrow ball machine at some point over the next few years. Willing to be patient, and willing to pay up for it. NOT looking for one with a screen.
WANTED: 10¥ candystore games, pre-1950s Japanese machines, スマートボール (Smart Ball), 1948 Bally Heavy Hitter, Pickwick-style (~1905)
    willing to ship from anywhere.

Does anyone know anything about the purple machine from the video?? It looks to have three stop buttons instead of the mahjong ones??

Nice job documenting these! The only one I’ve seen that is not listed is that purple framed version of the late model Sammy Jankyu in the video I posted that MrGneiss pointed out. Looks like the playfield is quite a bit different; unsure if it’s a completely separate named machine or just a different version?

I never see the older Mahjong balls/sparrow balls/Jankyus on yahoo auctions it seems, rarer than hens teeth I suppose.

Edit: judging by the different buttons on the front I’m assuming it’s a separate model entirely…
