No bids yet.. Do these kind of machines seem to sell well in Japan when foreign pachi people don't buy them??

only the second or third time i've seen the UFO model come up for sale. there's two models that i know of with the same theme/color with each having slightly different game play. at one time i owned both but soldo ne and kept the version that's in this auction.

Woo Hoo! My sniper bid won the UFO machine auction!

Just under $100; 13,500 yen. I just hope the seller knows how to pack a machine well for its long journey ahead.

I think I like these later model arrange ball machines the best, I wonder if it’s got cool space laser sound effects like my other early 80’s hot air ballon arrange ball…

Looking forward to cleaning it up and hopefully refurbishing it a bit; not a full restoration, but get rid of the rust on the chrome and polish up those nails nice and shiny; I just hope it works 100%!

congrats on a fun machine with a carry-over bonus this machine is called "Number Bank" and the payout parameters can be changed in terms of what gives a payout and how much via some dip switches. also the lower left and right pockets pay out a token but there are plastic tabs in the ball path that can be altered to cause the balls to flow into the numbered pockets instead.
    there's sound effects too.

Nice! Glad to hear it’s got sound effects! The different payout settings always a nice feature. UFO theme is icing on the cake…

Too bad it’s missing the 1-16 numbered trim piece, more of an aesthetic issue; but that seems common (my Hot air Balloon machine is also missing that piece.)

Does your’s have that trim piece?

I need to find somebody with a huge 3-D printer to replicate these parts I guess!

that piece is commonly missing. i'm guessing the operators got tired of messing with it when the pin doctors came in at night.
of the two ufo machines that i had, one had that part and i'm pretty sure i kept it with my remaining machine.

had to remove a couple of machines from storage and one of them is my "ufo" machine. hasn't been powered on in prolly 5-6 years and it powered up and worked fine and i did manage to keep the number cover. i removed the plastic cover that's over the circuit board to expose the 7 position dip switch that allows the scoring rules to be changed. the digital payout window shows 4 which is 3 from the center four as well as one more because of the top left to bottom right diagonal. the instructions don't show diagonals as a scoring option but it is by changing the dip switch positions. getting a ball in either the A or B pockets lights up the corresponding number bank which lights up 2 (or 4 if both pockets are hit) additional numbers if the player chooses by pressing the upper red button on the right of the machine. if lighting those numbers won't make a completion after all 16 balls are shot, it carries over to the next game. the pockets with the pistols automatically pay out a token.

    sorry for the sideways pics.
Wow, such a nice looking machine! A lot better shape than mine! That’s really cool you can changing the scoring! Might have to try the different settings on.mine once I get it cleaned up properly and tested.

Mine is still in Japan; at the Buyee warehouse; awaiting the email of the dreaded international shipping quote! 🫣

I had an idea about replicating those covers I might look into; but instead of 3D printing plastic trim; just make a sticker of the graphics of the original covers… and stick it to the glass. Kinda like the one on my Fuji Peacock/Lion themed one:

yep, the shipping cost is no fun. it's been awhile since i've bought something off of YJA but shipping was always steep by air. printing a decal is a great idea and looking through some of my old posts, i can see that this machine didn't have the number cover when i got it so it from my other UFO machine.

Buyee just let me know that the package the arrange ball arrived to their warehouse in is insufficient for international shipping; so instead of their usual fee they must also order a custom box; at a cost of 8,000 yen; then another 2,500 to repack it.

Then; once it’s repacked they will finally be able to provide a DHL shipping quote. These are the kind of issues that pop up trying to import something this big/fragile.

On the plus side; Buyee packs items really well since they have one of those machines that fills the box with expanding foam that protects the item way better than newspaper or packing peanuts.
