    Question Picking the right transformer to UK power 2005 Pachislo

    Hi,

    I have a 2005 Rodeo Jet Set Radio pachislo I'm working on. Right now it hasn't been converted yet and is still using the original Japanese plug.

    This runs on a 24V AC input.

    I'm in the UK so our input voltage is 230V ac but this can range from 216V to 253V

    Am I right in saying this should suffice for the machine.

    Japanese power is 100 volts AC so you need to step down the voltage or you will have problems

    But ,

    The power supply in the machine will take care of the power conversion from input 100-120vac from outside of the machine to the inside stuff .

    AC 220V to AC 24V seems right and I think 10W sounds good, but I could be missing something, so I hope someone else double checks the link for you!!

    Please look on the back of your machine for a data plate. listing an Amp value, VA or watts.

    10W sounds to small to me I would think a machine would be a minimum of 100W probably higher.
    I'm running my machines off a 300 watt supply each. Although they are newer machines

    I don't give recommendations of power ratings till I see the specs.

    According to the sticker inside it's

    "Voltage 24V 50/60Hz
    Power consumption 250VA"

    Actually it's a lot highter

    Va = Volt x Amp
    250 = 24 x 10.42

    If you use a furniture nut. You could hold it in place on the inside keeping things safer.
