Cowboy Bebop Pachislo - Volume Controls keep burning

Hey everyone! I've gotten a hold of a Cowboy Bebop Pachislot recently and the Volume controls keep burning up and not functioning anymore. Attached image is what they look like!

I was doing some searching on the forum and heard alot of people talking about these "l-pads" - do these wire up the same way as regular volume controls, and are these them? - https://www.ebay.com/itm/32307324622...3usPBZA&edge=1

L pads are still the best at absorbing amplifier loads .

My dad in the late 1960's used them to send the music from our Recreation room to our upstairs Living room and they worked without a hitch .
