Is there any significant difference for games in the red frame verses the white? My Julie is in a white frame.

I've had both colors of that frame. The only difference I seen was just the color.

Someone who is more knowledgeable in modern machines may know of something else.

Not really. The only thing to be careful of if cel swapping is make sure they are both Cr versions or Cash versions.

CR have the 2 buttons on the front, Cash frames don't. Cr cels don't work in Cash frames and vice versa (frames fail to payout on wins)

Might be for the best? You could always import one of the newer Evangelion models; there’s plenty to choose from. The new one’s have a lot more impressive graphics; way bigger screens, and more features than a 20 year old machine; they have come a long way!

No to mention, aging 20+ year old lumina cells have capacitors on the board that controls the LCD screen that go bad (causing a dead screen) with alarming regularity in my experience…
