Default Another Satomi Miracle Super Arrange Ball

This morning I happened to check FB marketplace since got a notification a new pachinko had been listed; 2 hours away near Greenville SC and I saw a video of this beauty in action, just listed overnight. of course I immediately contacted the seller but he shot down my $150 lowball offer; and mentions he need would full asking price ($195) since people from all over the southeast are contacting him nonstop since he listed it less than 24 hrs ago.

So I mention I can come pick it up within a couple hours if he doesn’t want to wait on the other potential buyers to show (or not). Just a 100 mile drive away. The video he posted in the ad showed it working, but he mentions sometimes the payout mech gets jammed; probably due to the quarters he’s been using in it vs real arrange ball tokens.

I’m going to clean it up a bit more before doing a full test on it tomorrow. Looks like this one has been well cared for and stored inside; the seller said he had it since the 70s.

This model seems fairly common, but the condition is top notch!

I’ll report back once it’s tested properly 100%.

Default Another Satomi Miracle Super Arrange Ball

I just finished cleaning up the ball tracks, coin chutes ect; results were very promising! It’s 95% working I’d say; a few minor issues; as these 50 year old machines tend to have….but I think I can work those out. It’s still playable regardless.

Payouts work, scoring matrix is mostly working, the game does reset and solenoids work.

It’s got both the A and B cartridges thank god

    1. As the guy mentioned, there’s an issue with the coin acceptor chute (not the payout mech itself it turns out) after dropping an arrange ball token it seems to get stuck; doesn’t fall through and trigger the switch; until I drop a 2nd coin, then the game starts. Guess I’ll try quarters like he was using next…or I need to learn how to adjust the coin acceptor on this model (any tips?)

    2. I tested all the pockets but #2 doesn’t illuminate; next I’ll be inspecting/cleaning that switch in hopes that fixes it and it’s not the bulb.

    3. Not sure if this is a problem or working as designed; but after the round is over and I push the reset button the scoring matrix lights don’t clear/turn off; it only clears once a coin is dropped again.

Example, still shows lights on after pressing the “end game”/reset button (but pays out normally)

    4. There’s a mysterious unplugged connector near the coin acceptor? Ideas?

Mine does the same thing, I just assumed it was normal.

Thanks! One less thing to be concerned about!

Just curious; does yours have that same unplugged connector too?

#1 issue with the coin/token chute has been fixed; turns out somebody put masking tape on the inside of the hinged metal piece that routes coins to the switch; I cleaned up the sticky reside and tape and found a small bolt to manually adjust the coin width to arrange ball token size; do now tokens flow properly to the payout coin tube.

The adjustment bolt/screw was marked with a tiny mark of red paint.

Read this thread about the same model; you need both A and B cartridge in working shape for it to work properly. Somehow the poor guy ended up with a parts machine someone robbed a B cartridge from.

Both cartridges in working shape are worth a lot to someone who’s in need!

Thanks for explaining that, now I know what to look for if I ever come across another for sale. Mine doesn't have any cartridges, just two circuit boards.

Yeah this was the first one I bought with cartridges too; I’ve got 4 others and they all have exposed circuit boards.

I got lucky on this one and bought it without inspecting the innards first, but the video they posted proved it mostly worked. Part of the gambling aspect of collecting these is the dice roll if it’s actually going to work or not… I’ve got another Satomi with likely bad capacitors that’s waiting on some guy to perform a repair on; one day…. That one was stored somewhere damp though.
