Ball launcher

Aloha Pachi Community,

I have a Kikaider vs. Hakaider pachinko machine. The ball launcher makes clicking sounds when the knob is turned, but the balls don’t launch. I would appreciate your assistance on this.

Hello David,

Have you opened the front glass/door and then open the tray below that to expose the ball launching area? You can check this area for any kind of debris. Large to very small items can stop the balls from moving into the launch position.

Mahalo for the quick assist! I checked and the path looks to be clear. It looks like the launcher is now hit or miss. Sometimes the ball will load and I am able to shoot, but most times the ball falls back into the tray without being launched. Any thing I can try?
I looked at the back and there is a number 1 code. How can I reset this?

Aloha,

I reopened the ball tray door and noticed that the shooter arm was in the “shot” position and was preventing the balls from loading. It now works. Is there a way I can reset the machine to clear the code 1 showing on the back. This is a Nishijin.

I don't have one of these machines, but it looks like there is a black reset button under the error display.. If that is the reset button, try pressing it to clear it.. if that doesn't work, turn off your machine, hold the button in and turn the machine on while continuing to hold the button for about 5 seconds!!

I tried the reset following the steps, no change in the code.

There's a second reset button on the side of the power supply board (the one with the three red LEDs on it) the button is on the side of the box below the power switch. You could try this one but I suspect you'll need to sort out what's causing the fault code to appear before it can be reset.

There's a label with the fault codes listed in Japanese on the case of the board with the fault code LED display. Unfortunately in your photo, there is a grey cable covering up some of the text so I can't read all of it.

It looks like the line one says '- Normal', the next line is probably '1 Ball Cut Off'. So it's likely that the machine thinks you have no balls in the top hopper at the back of the machine.

Thanks! Ok, this may now make more sense. This machine was fixed to recirculate the same balls from the playfield back into the ball tray in front. There’s no ball top ball feeder in the back.
