Thank you Hanabi...Ive looked at those posts but the problem is that i couldn't find a correlation to my connections...especially in the power supply department - i have two pairs going out from the battle counter on one pair there is a sticker which says "24 volt" and another pair with nothing on it - the two pairs fits each other - but i don't know if i should plug the to each other or to an external source...here are closeups for each pair...

You can use the male or female plug ends, they are interconnects between multiple battle counters. The yellow and red are the power lines, any other wires are meaningless for your installation unless you have the two machines right next to each other and want to connect the counters together for power reasons. Both counters will light up for a bit during a bonus if connected together. The smaller multi-pin plug/socket are just signal lines as are the extra wires in the larger 6 pin plug/socket.

when I got my battle counter from Arby he included a connector he had added on the power wires to tap directly into the 24 volt wires coming from the transformer.

you just put the sides on the two wires in the U shaped slots and crimped a part to make the power connection.

I'm sure radio shack or other places should sell them. its much easier than stripping and soldering the wires to the 24 volt wires

All of my Pachis are connected to the x-formers with wire nuts, so I connect the BCs that way, and share the power supply.

Just MAKE DAMN SURE that you wire them to the 24V side, or they make a very expensive noise (can/IC pop)

If you are going to put these on a Lumina then the Asahi Minna BC guide will help
