Don't forget that you might not have got it for just over £50 anyway. The sniper might have put his max bid in at £80 plus - who knows. If you'd have gone higher, you would probably have only put the cost up for him. If I do miss out on anything, I'll always tell myself that and feel better about missing out!

You've been sniped. It's unfortunate but it happens. That's why you have to make sure that if you want it, you bid enough on it so when someone comes in at the last second to snipe it, they don't take it from you. Put the most on it you can afford to spend or feel it's worth, if someone snipes you from that point, it was more than you wanted to pay anyway so no great loss.

Indeed couldnt say it better meself, just because you will go upto a certain amount DOES NOT automatically mean you will be paying the full amount, ( i do think many many people think this way). GL for your next try

I had a great snipe this morning, the bid was up to 19.05, I got my 42.00 bid in with 5 seconds to spare, three other snipers tried, but I won at 36.09.

14 nes & snes videos games, Ebay resale value is about 75.00 to 80.00, maybe a little better

I found a brand new Laser toner cartridge at Goodwill today for 4.99. resale on Ebay about 25.00

I cannot effing stand bidwatch or auction stealer type programs takes the whole human thing outta auctioning, yes I snipe, and its quite a rush refreshing every couple secs and getting a stopwatch synchronized lol

Ive only recently started using ebay etc, but half the fun is the sitting there and putting in your bid as Trout says with a synchronized watch....

then of course theres the other side, when you've been sport bidding and you are hopping that in the last few seconds someones gonna snipe your bid..

Sniping is more of a buzz than actually receiving the item! I'm sure I've bought items in the past, just coz I could see the price was low and thought - hell I fancy some of that! I always like to look at the current highest bidder too - no feedback, ahh bless, you're going to learn one of life's hard lessons.
