Mach GOGOGO Pachinko Is Too Loud

UPDATE:

An engineer at JT Comatz was able to show me where the speaker wires are, but only their location after the amplifier. The problem is that after the amplifier there is a lot of power going through the wires.

I was able to unplug the woofer. There was not enough room to cut and add anything here. I will need to find matching connectors if I want to add an external volume control for the woofer. I'll try to get a photo of the connector.

I was able to successfully find the wires for the tweeters on the front of the machine. I was able to cut and extend those wires to the back of the machine. I installed a project box with a pair of potentiometers on the back. It was hard to dial in the volume on the 1000 K ohm potentiometers, but they worked for a while. After a short time playing on the volume mod, the potentiometers failed. They are dead now.

So it is back to the drawing board for me. Several people, some of them from this site, have suggested that I use a stereo volume control. I think this might be the way to go because anything else cannot handle the power. Again, thanks for all of your input.
