Default How did Dawn of the Fantasy get passed up here?

There was a previous thread on this machine and it went off topic so quickly that the most insightful comment was:

"Understandable, since Maryanne was WAY hotter than that sleaze Ginger."

So, I think it's time for a reintroduction since I played this back when I was in Japan. Especially since Kiai is ordering it for me as my first import machine (hoping to win on YJA in the next few days).

Dawn of the Fantasy (or Pachi Que) is a full role-playing game squeezed into a pachinko machine.

There's a full world you travel through (multiple backgrounds).

You get into mini-battles along the way and level up your character (maximum level is 99 and the 77 in the top picture is where your level is displayed). You might even acquire an item or two along the way:

There's also 24 characters that can talk to you and give advice. Of course... it would be rather boring without a variety of monsters to fight (103 in all! 20 Types! 3 Special!):

(Look at the cute little Marumons in the top row... ^^)

And did I mention... Every single battle is a mini-game! One of four depending on which item you have. And there's a few other big mini-games (in addition to a dozen or so Story missions you can complete):

If you're not a fan of interactivity in your machines, you'll hate the boss battles:

There are 4 types of bosses (each with levels of difficulty) and 2 special. All animated in full, of course. During the battle, you need to tap the button (same as on the CR Ferrari) multiple times to fill up your attack meter before the boss strikes you first. There can be multiple turns as well.

Finally (and I think this is pretty neat) there's an ending in the game. Win 10 times in a row and you're treated to a full ending movie. Play as many times as you want of course. ^^

So... That's what I ordered. Please pardon my flagrant abuse of iFrames. It was the only way to include pictures inline with the text.
Currently Own: Nothing. I play mostly online now.
