Exclamation Smart Pachinko- The Parlor Revolution

The first Smart Pachinko, using the new credit system, has just been unveiled by Daiichi. With pachinko moving to this system as well as pachislot, it looks like we need to start preparing for these. Daverob's CR emulator will likely not work on these-a new emulator will need to be developed, and these machines will be unplayable if the system isn't cracked. Like I said in my overview of the Smart Slot system, it is new, it is different, and we should be very scared of it.

Thankfully they have been making pachinko machines that use the shiny chrome or Gold spheres for a long time and the Vintage pachinko don't need power to play .

And the Modern Pachinko they make now are way too over the top .

I like that they are still using balls on the playfield..The all virtual prototypes years ago didn't seem as fun..Although I'm sure if no wining balls is successful they will get there some day..

Can't read the comments, but when I turned dislikes back on (Firefox extension) the dislikes are about even with the likes..

I guess '23 is gonna be a big year to see how the future of pachis will be!!

Pros and cons for parlors..I read somewhere it'll be pricey to switch to the new equipment..the money takey things, but after that I'm sure they'll love not having to deal with ball and token handling anymore!!

And for a new parlor it'd be a lot easier to set up shop without all the balls and tokens!!

But I guess it all just comes down to if the players like it or not!!

so basically a kept-ball method like the arrange-ball with digital payouts, etc.
the aftermarket (for the hobbyist) part has me thinking the machines will play like cyclical moderns we have now.

Looks like they're keeping the new machines well guarded. Anyone seen a smart pachinko/slot up for sale?

They're new enough that I wouldn't be surprised if Daiichi is running them as leased machines to start with until this new style is more widely accepted. This is my best guess to account for not seeing any secondary market machines available yet.
It does amuse me that the first games with this new system have better odds of winning than the ~1/399 we see so often with the release of a new machine. If I read the video right, this game does 1/77 -> 1/55 payouts, which should make things more exciting for players. I do wonder how much excitement there is though if you're not filling trays with balls and your winnings are reduced to just numbers on a display.

As a parlor operator, there are several obvious benefits to running a sealed machine like this. As long as these new games continue to bring in the kind of revenue operators are used to seeing from traditional style, you can be sure other companies will join in for the new system.

True. But to some. The rush of thousands of balls rushing out can be the thrill. If its just electronic. That feel will be gone.

1/399 machines or 1/499 machines haven’t been in production for years; outlawed (thankfully ) I believe.

1/319 odds is the modern age standard for a “heavy” odds digipachi, middle spec is usually around 1/199 and light spec is usually 1/99 (or less) I have a newer digipachi machine with 1/28 odds! Oshioki Kunoichi (I am the spanker) Lots of small payouts and small fevers.

I don’t think there’s anything groundbreaking about these newer light spec machines besides no ball payouts.
