Thumbs up Mozart Wonderland (Saint Maria Legend of the Symphony)

I received my Mozart Wonderland tonight. I haven't played it very much yet but so far it is great. Disney's Fantasia comes to mind. This is the only pachinko I have that I have kept the volume turned up on - it sounds that great!! The machine boasts that it has "Dynamic Sound System" and it means it. I'm glad I was able to get past my initial impression of this one. I thought it was pretty ugly at first, then Arbycoffee posted pictures of the new machines in Japan and I saw it lit up and it looked pretty good. It really is beautiful when you see it in person, loaded with lights that change color.

Congrats, when you've played it so more, you'll have to write a review of it for the rest of the users. Since we can't own them all, well except for Arby.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

I actually received the Rose of Versailles pachinko along with my Mozart - this one is very pretty with all the "jewels". I haven't had the chance to play it much but it looks great on my wall.

Question Re: Mozart Wonderland (Saint Maria Legend of the Symphony)

I am having tons of fun playing this amazing machine but I have some questions:
Is there a volume control on this machine?
Does it really matter if I press the "skill stop" button at the right time or will the reels stop at the same place regardless of weather I press the button or not? OR when should I press the button?
    Be well ... :~)

I'm wondering the same thing. I haven't been able to find a volume control built into this one (that probably means it's staring me right in the face). But I just got it today (shipped FAST from SlotUSA... maybe too fast... no balls, feet, or tray!)

And I'd sure like to find out about that "skill" button, too. Looks like it lights up and is active during a reach. One time today duing a fever, it wanted me to press it. Each time I did, it would show a 7 on the screen coming down from the top... a little more each time it was pressed. I was pressing it as fast as I could, but the 7 never reached the bottom. BTW, that fever was on three bells... and throughout the thing 7's would bounce off of the bells showing at the bottom of the screen. Weird.

I was with clau in wondering about the case on this one... but just like her, I've come to see just how beautiful this machine is in person. The deep cranberry with the gold trim looks very sharp! The pinkish "flames" on the case have fading high intensity LEDs behind them, and produce a rainbow of colors in attract mode as well as play. The backlit "stained glass" and "cracked glass" on the playfield add very nice touches. Kudos, Nishijin... VERY well done!

It was a machine I took a chance on (the price was VERY right that night) because the whole family loves music. We're not disappointed with this at all. If you like classical music, even a little bit, you would like this pachinko. Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" (Serenade No. 13) often plays during spins... um... OK... maybe you don't know that one off the top of your head... but I'll bet you've heard it.

A Strauss Waltz, "Voices of Spring Op.410" is another treat during parts of the game. Oh... sorry... that's this one:
    http://www.bobjanuary.com/sfo/voicsprg.mid

During a 100 spin rush, the "William Tell Overture" was another one I heard today... you DO know that one... right??? (Hi Ho Silver!)
    http://www.stenstrom123.com/William_Tell_Overture.mid

These machines have a way of turning up something new when you least expect it, so I'm sure there's more goodies and ear candy in there. After all... I've only had it a half-day so far.

During fever, the tempo changes and so does the mood. J-Pop star Clair Moon sings "Beautiful Days". She has a very lovely voice. Her website is here:
    http://www.clair-moon.com/
Looks like she's done music for both pachinkos AND some PS2 games. COOL!!!
On another fever, she sang backup for another artist... the name escapes me now. It was kind of a rap-metal thing??? Whoosh!!!

Anyway... the whole range of music on this pachinko is a treat. Not your ordinary "plinkity plink" of the same 4 or 8 bars over and over. Usually a full minute of the music or so if you keep the spins going. Nifty!
Add the cool lights, the "reels" showing animations of this little "Mozart" guy... with the symbols being kind of a "Picture in picture" effect of tiny movies of the reaches, and the music... and you've got a VERY nice game for the family.

I also noticed on the Nishijin site that there are 6 x 256M memory chips on this puppy for the graphics. That's 1.5 GIG of video memory, as they claim. It shows... with all of the video stuff going on all at once. This video technology alone is amazing for the price.

You can see the machine at the Nishijin site from this page. A javascript jump next to the pic will take you to a description, and show some of the specs, etc. There are a few little movies in there, too. Just poke around.

Hey... some dealers are claiming (and always seem to claim) their machines are "2005" technology. SlotUSA didn't blow that horn in their ad... but they sure could have... It's September 2004. Close enough to 2005 for ME!!!

Oh yeah... one last thing.... people always ask, "How much?"
I sniped it this past Sunday for $121. Worth EVERY penny!!!

Here's where the volume control is located. (You have to unhook the two black fasteners and swing the large plastic door open to access it.) Notes: It's the exact same setup for Rose of Versailles. Also, it's only a two position switch, not three.
