I voted for downwards as I usually do it a 60/40 split (60% down, 40% up). This is just an estimate, I do not keep a running tally!

On my yamasa models, it only goes downward. The other models allow it to go either direction. On those, I lift up to spin the knobs just to give it a different path, since I imagine almost everyone else pushes down.

My nephew was playing my machine the other day and I caught him "flicking" the knob...A quick flip downward then he would tap the reel stop buttons rapidly... "FLICK,TAP,TAP,TAP...FLICK,TAP,TAP,TAP". After a minute of watching this I told him to stop that, for some reason it was quite uncomfortable to watch someone play like that...LOL!!!

My parents were over for Easter yesterday and after about 15 minutes of my dad palying Twist, I had to finally go over and show him that you don't have to pound on it to make the reels stop.

We (I) don't put up wit' no poundin' from the kin. You play for free and it ain't real money, so ya's all better jes calm the %&@* down and watch the blinky lights. Treat the machine right and I will make sure your barstool doesn't tip over and dump your keister outta the window. Younger kids are especially abusive. The games are too repetitious to keep them interested.

Oh, and I push down about 98% of the time, when I'm not busy policing the Pachi room, that is.

Your missing another option! What about pulling the knob? Some models work that way too.

You know I didn't even really READ my post. Now I'm LMAO. Don't think there was really any other way to make it not sound funny.

My Azteca Legend is only 2 way, Up and Down. You would think that they would all be the same.

That is odd. You would think the'd be the same, unless my knob (or yours) was replaced at some point? Anyone else out there with an Azteca Legend, is your knob a 4-way or 2-way?
